Heydar Aliyev CENTER
Materials and Methods instructed by professor Eric Olsen, was a group project to understand the real world factors of using building materials for a build. Alongside peers Christian Boling and William Garcia, we chose Zaha Hadid’s Heydar Aliyev Center to mimic it’s curtain-like space frame into a chair. We developed the process of using foam cut outs to create the concrete molds that would eventually become our layers that we stacked and bolted down together. Finally we created the steel Space frame to hold the structures form and weight.
